My name is McKenna Claire Wensley the daughter of Melissa Westcott and Lyle Wensley, but there’s also another very special person in my life, my step dad, Charlie Westcott Jr. There are also many other special people in my life including; my sister Madison (20) who currently attends Michigan State University studying animal science, my brother, Keegan (14) who is a freshman here at Western, and my boyfriend Hunter who goes to Napoleon and means the world to me. My family also means the world to me, I would much rather be with them than anyone else. When we are together there is always laughter and good times had. I was born at Foote Hospital on July 27, 1998 and have live in the area my whole life. I currently live on a small farm with many animals. We have chickens, goats, lambs, and pigs which are all shown, except for the chickens. The animals are pretty much my life. I consider myself to be an ambitious, kind, and hardworking person.

School has been apart of my life for many years, though it can be difficult and not very enjoyable it is and will continue to be apart of my life now and in the future. Through my academics I have learned many things, some of which have made me into who I am today. I have been able to hold a 3.97 GPA throughout my high school career, this has been reflected through my hard work and dedication to do the best I can with whatever is asked of me. I can say without a doubt that my favorite class through the course of high school was by far Anatomy and Physiology. Other than always working away at my homework I have also been involved with a school group, Student Council. This has been my first year participating and I don’t regret it one bit. Organizing and decorating the stage for each formal assembly was very enjoyable and allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and create a bond with some people I never would have.

My portfolio begins with the home page which includes a quote that represents how I see life and a powerpoint of the things that mean the most to me. Next comes my introduction explaining some things about myself, family, hobbies, and my future. Following this is my career pathway which then leads into my 20 benchmarks. These benchmarks demonstrate mastery in many subjects that have allowed me to develop necessary skills to move on to bigger and better things. Finally my portfolio is finished up with my resume, letters of recommendations, and a wordle. There are three benchmarks that I would like to draw your attention to; benchmark 33, 56, and 69. I feel these represent me as a person in many different aspects of my life.
